We enjoyed a restful week at Foxes Reach, just what I needed after an unexpected 5 days in hospital. The Wye Valley is so beautiful and it was interesting to see the river in flood. Thank you for providing a lovely cottage in a wonderful location for visitors to enjoy.

This is not a holiday cottage- its a home!
Abergavenny flea market was very good, Monmouth is a lovely town well worth a visit for unusual gifts. Browns in Llandogo sell wonderful local sausages with apple and leeks. The walk from the Fountain inn is circular and takes about two hours.. We used the laminated guide sheet provided.I loved the typical local well in the left hand corner of the Catbrook Village Green.
We were quite lucky with the weather ( last week of October 08) Autumn colours in beautiful sunshine. Your raspberry vodka should be marketed it was heavenly. And talking about heaven the night sky is clear here, peak out from the window or the hot tub. The sky is amazing.
We all loved staying here very much.

Recommended walk near Foxes Reach

We walked from Tintern across the river via the footbridge and up to the Devils Pulpit. Great view of the Abbey but quite steep and not that well signposted. We also did walk 14 from your book of walks. Excellent and very scenic with terrific Valley views. We came back to relax in the hot tub each evening. Wonderful.

Recommended walk near Foxers Reach

We recommend the Wynd Cliff walk . It isnt suitable for kids or the elderly as its a steep one ( there are lots of others much less steep) but we are adventurous and we and our energetic dog loved it.Its about a five minute drive from Foxes Reach.

We had a fantastic time for our first wedding anniversary. Cottage is gorgeous a real home from home. Absolutely loved the hot tub and the fire. The bedrooms are beautiful.Did lots of walking with our energetic boxer dog. We recommend the Wynd Cliff walk from your book of walks. Very adventurous and not suitable for kids or elderly as a steep climb but we loved it.
We will definitely be back and cannot wait to try Vanilla Cottage. All the best and thanks again from Kelly Matt and Mason the boxer.
