Free and fabulous attraction near Vanilla Cottage

Dont miss a visit to the Big Bit ( one of the National Museums of Wales so FREE entry) Its approx half and hours drive from Vanilla. You can go right down the real coalmine and the guides are former miners so really create the atmosphere. The Museum has won many awards. "We recommend it"

Note that there is a minimum height requirement so its not suitable for children under approx 7 years.

The Big Pit
We also recommend the Big Pit mining museum. Its free and great fun going underground.

Friendly pub near Vanilla Cottage
The pub on the Riverbank at the bottom of the cottage's road had a good log fire and made me welcome.
