Dog friendly cottage and l ocal pubs

Had a great break, cottage lovely.
Found the Anchor in Tintern good for dogs and also the Lion in Trellech. Lovely walks in Bargain Wood and Cuckoo wood, great bluebells.
If you like cider try the Orchard Cider from Brockweir village shop.

Dog friendly cottage, good walking shopping and cinema

We arrived feeling very tired and stressed but as soon as we stepped into Foxes Reach we felt calm and at home. We had some lovely walks with our dogs despite showers of rain most days. The hot tub was very relaxing and fun. We enjoyed visits to Monmouth and Hereford ( good shopping) and Newport has a great cinema complex. We are coming back because the cottage is just lovely and special. The attention to detail is impressive. We liked the homemade vodka! It was really nice to arrive to a shining house, wine and flowers. Thank you Fiona and Malcolm you have a real gem in Foxes Reach.

Dog friendly

We arrived depressed by the long range forecast but have had only a tiny bit of rain in a week- just once.
We have had some fabulous walks. The bluebells and wild garlic above the Wye are wonderful and the Old Church Penallt was a magical experience. We found the pubs most welcoming, The Lion at Trellech, the Anchor Tintern, The Boat Redbrook and the Speech House all welcomed our dog as did the Clytha Arms. The Crown at Whitebrook was disappointing and the cost was eye watering. The Bell at Skenfrith was excellent at half the price. Thanks for the warm welcome.
