Wonderful for walking, eating, drinking and for the welcome!

What a cottage! Wonderfully placed for all our needs- walking eating and drinking!
The walk to Devils Pulpit and then into Brockweir is truly superb route and asyou come out of the Old Station the Kingstone Brewery ( opposite side of the road) is well worth a visit for lunch or a carry out of beeer to take back to the cottage. Also thouroughly recommend the Anchor Inn- fantastic food and very friendly and welcoming hosts. Thank you very much- we will be back!

Advent bliss

After many months of trying to get our group together, I was the first of our party to arrive at Tintern Abbey Cottage. I did so on a crisp winters evening with a clear night sky and a full moon.Breathtaking scene of the abbey as I drove over the brow of the hill into Tintern. I wondered if this might be the highlight of our stay but the cottage only continued to add to the experience. A very atmospheric start to a wonderful weekend. The warmth of the cottage(not just from the roaring log fire)its decor and design was immediate. Incredibly welcoming and cosy.

Our third Christmas time visit!

For the third time we had a lovely time!
We did see a little snow up on the mountains, but not as much as last year or the year before! Went to The Big Pit ehich is fascinating and well worth a visit and only 45 minutes away Lovely and cosy in the cottage with the woodburner Lots of relaxing which is just what we needed Walked to England across the bridge and had a lovely meal at The Anchor Thank you Malcolm and Fiona , we hope to be back yet again! Extremely comfortable stay with excellent beds

A perfect cottage. We loved the welcome with the fire lit, table set, flowers, wine, and special vodka. An excellent location. We recommend the Anchor across the road at the Abbey, especially for Sunday lunch but also for evening meals. Very dog friendly ( also Wye Valley Hotel and Lion Inn Trellech) An extremely comfortable stay with excellent beds, a very warm and cosy cottage.
